Kent Skolrood

President, Baptist Medical Group
Senior Vice President, Baptist Health Care

Kent leads development and strategic planning of all Baptist Medical Group-employed physicians.

Mission: To lead Baptist Medical Group to become the best physician group in the country
Experience: Developed five of the top 27 practices in the nation according to Medical Group Management Association; has more than 25 years of physician practice management experience
Fact: “Professionally, I love working with physicians, engaging them in leadership positions and helping them enjoy a successful practice. Personally, I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family.”

Carla Johnson

Administrator, Development

Carla leads the physician on-boarding process, working hand-in-hand with recruitment and internal resources. She ensures the overall success of Baptist Medical Group by managing additional special development projects.

Mission: To best support physicians and medical staff so that they can have the opportunity to live their passion for patient care
Experience: More than 19 years of experience in the medical field, 15 years in medical management with a variety of specialties; a fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives since 2009
Fact: “I am a home project do-it-yourselfer and a football fan.”

Bobbye Pounders

Operations Administrator

Bobbye provides oversight of the day-to-day management and operations of the Baptist Medical Group medical practices, working with physicians and managers to improve medical care.

Mission: To provide stable and reliable leadership and guidance to the Baptist Medical Group physicians, providers, managers and medical practices
Experience: 30 years of experience working in various management and administrative roles with hospital-employed and physician-owned primary care physicians, specialty physicians, surgeons and mid-level providers; designated as a Certified Medical Practice Executive by Medical Group Management Association and as a Certified Coder with the American Association of Professional Coders
Fact: “I'm a Zumba enthusiast!”

Stephanie Boerjan

Physician Marketing Manager

Stephanie serves as a dedicated marketing representative for employed physicians, developing individual public relations and advertising strategies, materials and more. Stephanie leads overall marketing strategy for Baptist Medical Group as well as managing marketing and communication initiatives for physicians of Baptist Health Care.

Mission: To provide each and every physician with the best possible marketing tools, strategies and opportunities to best spark their business and lead to increased awareness, trial and success
Experience: Developed award-winning and, most importantly, successful integrated advertising initiatives for international, national and local companies during her years of advertising agency experience; now provides Baptist Medical Group physicians with the same innovative marketing power, driving their success
Fact: “I am a proud childhood cancer survivor and just recently relocated to Pensacola with my husband, Bryan, and our dog, Eloise the papillon.”

Leslie Hutcherson

Physician Recruitment Manager

Mission: To recruit and retain the best physicians in the country
Experience: Leverages years of corporate sales management, hospitality industry and physician recruitment experience to successfully recruit new physicians and their families to the greater Pensacola area; in the past three years, Leslie has contributed to an astounding level of growth within the Baptist Health Care and Baptist Medical Group organizations, including over 35 specialty and primary care doctors
Fact: “I’m a Pensacola native and my husband, Shawn, and I recently returned home to be near family, friends and, most importantly, the beach. We’re loving life as new parents to our daughter, Harper.”

Tara leads initiatives to drive physician engagement between the medical staff and Baptist Health Care, with a strong emphasis on communication and relationship building.

Mission: To lead Baptist Health Care to the top percentile ranking in medical staff satisfaction and engagement
Experience: More than 8 years of leadership experience in all areas of physician relations, including extensive physician recruiting and retention successes
Fact: “I’m a proud wife and mother to the coolest boys in town. I’m a former Auburn University Tigerette with a strong love for football and all things entertainment. I’ll challenge anyone to movie line trivia.”
