Our leadership staff is actively involved in overseeing all aspects of physician development, supporting the growth and the success of each physician that joins us as well as the entire network of Baptist Medical Group.

Carla Johnson, FCMPE

Administrator, Development

Carla leads the physician on-boarding process, working hand-in-hand with recruitment and internal resources. She ensures the overall success of Baptist Medical Group by managing additional special development projects.
Mission: To best support physicians and medical staff so that they can have the opportunity to live their passion for patient care
Experience: More than 19 years of experience in the medical field, 15 years in medical management with a variety of specialties; a fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives since 2009
Fact: “I am a home project do-it-yourselfer and a football fan.”

Bobbye Pounders

Operations Administrator

Bobbye provides oversight of the day-to-day management and operations of the Baptist Medical Group medical practices, working with physicians and managers to improve medical care.
Mission: To provide stable and reliable leadership and guidance to the Baptist Medical Group physicians, providers, managers and medical practices
Experience: 30 years of experience working in various management and administrative roles with hospital-employed and physician-owned primary care physicians, specialty physicians, surgeons and mid-level providers; designated as a Certified Medical Practice Executive by Medical Group Management Association and as a Certified Coder with the American Association of Professional Coders
Fact: “I'm a Zumba enthusiast!”

Dana Harrison, CMPE

Finance Director

With the support of our finance team, Dana leads the financial management for all employed physician practices.
Mission: To provide reliable financial data in conjunction with an ever-changing health care environment.
Experience: Extensive financial management in physician practices with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Active member of the Medical Group Medical Association, MGMA-ACMPE; designated as a Certified Medical Practice Executive by Medical Group Management Association

Bobby Potomski

Director of Primary Care Services

Bobby leads a division of physician practices including the spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care. Physician and provider practices include adult hospitalists, neuro-hospitalists, pediatric hospitalists, senior health, palliative care, and outpatient primary care - internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics.
Mission: To enhance the quality of life for the patients and communities served by Baptist Health Care through innovative and collaborative operational leadership in concert with the best physicians, providers, and team members in the country.
Experience: Bobby has several years experience in operational leadership along with a robust background in physician practice development, as he has recruited over 80 physicians to Baptist Health Care across a myriad of specialties. Bobby holds his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Real Estate from Florida State University.
Fact: "As a Pensacola native, I am very proud to be able to contribute to the community where I was raised. In my free time I enjoy saltwater fishing, college football (Go 'Noles!), and staying active."

Melissa Morley

Physician Recruiter Manager

Melissa is a physician recruiter for the Baptist Health Care system and Baptist Medical Group. Learn more about recruitment at Baptist Medical Group.
Mission: Recruit physicians with the highest regard to patient centered satisfaction and driven to facilitate individual and practice success.
Experience: Started out at Baptist Hospital in 2011 as a registration representative then transferred to the Central Business Office as a process improvement specialist with substantial experience in Medicare denials and appeals
Fact: "I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, going to concerts, and boating with friends."

Tara Rollins

Physician Relations Manager

Tara leads initiatives to drive physician engagement between the medical staff and Baptist Health Care, with a strong emphasis on communication and relationship building.
Mission: To lead Baptist Health Care to the top percentile ranking in medical staff satisfaction and engagement
Experience: More than 8 years of leadership experience in all areas of physician relations, including extensive physician recruiting and retention successes
Fact: “I’m a proud wife and mother to the coolest boys in town. I’m a former Auburn University Tigerette with a strong love for football and all things entertainment. I’ll challenge anyone to movie line trivia.”
