Meet your Doctor

What about your line of work do you fine most rewarding and why?
As a rheumatologist, I have the opportunity to help patients return to the activities they love and build long term personal relationships with them.

How would a patient describe you?
Patients often tell me I am very easy to talk and open up to, confident and have a very pleasant bedside manner.

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?
We will work together as a team when we need to make medical decisions, and I will always treat them with compassion and respect.

What do you find most encouraging about the work you do?
I am excited to practice rheumatology at a time when there are many treatment options for rheumatologic diseases. It is encouraging to see my patients live normal, active lives with a chronic disease.

Do you have any specific medical interests?
Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis (and other forms of inflammatory arthritis), myositis, gout, osteoporosis and vasculitis.

What’s your proudest moment as a doctor?
One of my most memorable and proud moments came after one of my sickest patients passed away. Her husband sent me a card thanking me for the compassion I showed for him and his wife during her illness and expressing his gratitude for having me involved in her care.
