Meet Your Provider

What led you to become a ARNP or choose your focus of medicine?
After years of being a critical care nurse, I realized I wanted to expand my current knowledge base and skill set by advancing my degree as a nurse. I wanted to find out what it was like to become a provider while still having that nursing foundation to build upon.

What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
In caring for cardiac patients, it is often difficult seeing the effects an illness can have on a patient and their families. It is rewarding when there is a positive outcome and knowing that you made a difference in their care.

What is something about you that only your patients would know?
My patients can be assured that I will take the time to listen to their questions and concerns while making sure to provide the best education possible to help alleviate any confusion they may have.

In your opinion, what’s the most important factor in a ARNP and patient relationship?
Trust is the most important factor in any provider and patient relationship. A personal goal of mine is to build a relationship with each and every patient and family to encourage this.

What can a patient expect when they have you as a ARNP?
My patients can expect personalized care and open communication.

What do you find most encouraging about the work you do?
I love hearing about new procedures and approaches to treatment that may benefit those I take care of. It is exciting to learn about the future of health care and where it is going.

What are your top priorities with every patient you see?
I will ensure patient-centered care that is fair, individualized, and evidence-based.

Describe one of the top ways you ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care he/she deserves.
By staying up to date with current practice guidelines and technology, I will make certain to only provide the best care possible.
