Meet your Provider

What led you to become a nurse practitioner or choose your focus of medicine?
I love taking care of people!

What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
Practicing medicine provides an avenue for me to help people with one of the most basic but important aspects of a person’s life, their health. It is so rewarding to me to investigate health problems and find a successful plan of action for my patients to improve their health. Furthermore, everyone does not have access to the recommended medicine and treatments prescribed, therefore, I try my best to search for avenues to assist my patients as their special needs dictate. And finally, I love to hear my patients tell me our plan was successful and they are better and feel better!

What is something about you that only your patients would know?
I think anyone that knows me in any capacity would have an understanding I am thorough in any endeavor I undertake and I take great pride in my work.

How would a patient describe you?
A very good provider, who is attentive, and a pleasant person to be with.

In your opinion, what is the most important factor in a nurse practitioner-patient relationship?
Confidence the provider is rendering proper care.

What can a patient expect when they that have you as a nurse practitioner?
A very good provider who takes time to listen to the patient to create an effective health plan according to the standard of care, explain the expected outcome, and concerns for which to follow up.

What do you find most encouraging about the work you do?
Having the resources, knowledge, and capability to provide the patient with a path to health improvement. I also thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients and as I mentioned above, I love to take care of people.

What are your top priorities with every patient you see?
I treat my patients as I would want to be treated. I want each patient to feel comfortable and know I am working hard to provide the appropriate care they need.

Is there anything more or extra you would like prospective patients to know about you?
I think I have pretty much summed up what I am about and how I take care of my patients, other than that, I am a grandmother and it is wonderful!
